Troops race their East Coast Skiffs from Dún Laoghaire Harbour across Dublin Bay to Dodder Sea Scout Den. The race is a relay, with u17s rowing from Dún Laoghaire to Costello Slip on the South Wall, u15s then rowing to Poolbeg Yacht Club, and finally u14s rowing as far as Dodder Sea Scout Den.

Manannán will be meeting in the Den at 0900hrs on Saturday morning to prepare Lir. The race is expected to start at 1100hrs from the East Breakwater. Scouts will need: full uniform, Manannán t-shirt and training top, boating gear, warm change of clothes, packed lunch. Crews will be transported to their changeover locations by water so Scouts should have raingear and a warm top for this.

All Scouts must return to the Den after the event to recover Lir from the water.
