Summer Camp 2015
Location: Lough Lene, Collinstown, Co. Westmeath
Drop off point: Collinstown
GPS: 53°38’51.00”N 7°12’45.00”W (Village)
Directions:
• Take N4 to Mullingar
• Exit at Junction 17 signposted Castlepollard/Mullingar
• At top of ramp turn right on to R394 signposted Castlepollard
• Go straight through roundabout
• Continue on R394 through Crookedwood
• Approx 2km past Crookedwood turn right signposted Collinstown
• Keep on this road (some sharp bends) following signposts to Collinstown
• When you reach to village you will be continuing straight through the crossroads
onto the Lake Road
• Stop in the village and telephone one of the leaders. The entrance to the site is a few hundred meters beyond the village. However, it is a good distance off the road and access is through private land. Arrange for one of the leaders to meet you and take you to the site.

Full Scout Uniform, (Incl Scout Hat)

Fodhla Hoodie & T-shirt if the scout has one
Warm jumpers/Fleeces
Warm trousers (Remember Denim clothing takes a long time to dry out)
T shirts, shorts, socks, underwear as required
Warm Hat & sun hat
Hiking boots & spare footwear – wellies
Boating Gear:
Swim gear & appropriate clothing
Boating shoes (flip flops not allowed in boats)
PFD
Oil skins Top and bottom
Sleeping Gear:
Insulating ground Mat
Sleeping bag
PJ’s
Cuddley Toy – optional (nothing of sentimental value)
Hygiene & Personal Care:
Complete wash kit incl towel & personal hygiene items.
High Factor Sun cream ( you never know !)
Insect repellent
Medication:
Medication, where required with prior notice to the leaders

Packed lunch for day of departure from the Den
Torch – with spare batteries

No Mobile phones, portable DVD players or Ghetto Blasters permitted

All gear must be LABELLED & fully packed in good quality bag(s)
No Rugby Balls (not even “oval” footballs)
